Alessandro studied the strategies used in the Anti Apartheid movement and the organization Raw Talent who helps to prevent gang violence. He never knew what apartheid was or what it meant before this project making this a great learning experience for him.
"From researching this project I have learned that not all strategies will help me with all problems that I face in life. For example the use of violence or civil disobedience will never work with the problems that my parents face me with."

Fiora studied the Anti Apartheid movement in South Africa that took place is 1948 and the Human Trafficking Organization. Since this, she has decided to use her time to her advantage and take part in becoming an activist and supporter to end Human Trafficking.
Fiora interviewed Minouche Kandel, the leader of the SF Collaborative Against Human Trafficking, and she got a chance to learn how the collaborative works with the people of San Francisco to end Human Trafficking in the city and in California. Although both movements are to support different ideas, they are extremely similar and Fiora describes that well in her comparison essay.
After weeks of research and an interview, Fiora stated, "I realized you have to make the most of it all: fighting for something you believe in, helping others, or doing tasks that will make the rest of the world happy."
